Biography
Erich is an amateur musician who lives in Central Illinois. Erich's first banjo was a kit-built mountain banjo in 1976 when he was in college. He played almost constantly for about 15 years, then pretty much went dormant (or stagnant) for another 15 years or so. The year 2006 was significant, being both his 30th year of banjo playing and the 50th year of his life, so he decided to get himself a substantially better banjo and also build a minstrel-style instrument. He has been having great fun remembering tunes and learning new styles. At the urging of his musical friend from years ago, Lyle Konigsberg, he has been putting up some of his tunes here on EZfolk. He stores most of his tunes at his personal web site.

That was beautiful. Mostly, when I hear frailed amateurs I wish for the end. This time I felt sad and empty when the tune finished. Imagine where you'd be if you'd not left thirty years out!. I'd love to hear you play Campbell's Farewell To Redgap. It'd leave me crying for sure.
