Malachi rode frieghtrains almost 20 years honing his unique vocals and chaotic but soulful harmonica into a blend of heartache and rage. John Ator is classicaly trained and lends his massive skill to Malachis folk-blues.We have been friends about 15 years and in between Malachis travels we would play and always say how we should record.Well, were not getting younger so here is what we have to offer. The Backdoor Beggars

They reckoned Sonny Boy Williamson changed from voice to harp so quickly it had to be two people. No Grits is a honey. |

I love the new song. That old-world quality in "trains" really suits you well! |

I know what you mean about the polar opposite thing- a fresh viewpoint can be really interesting. Also, I was reading what you have on your page about not being responsible for your sound because it just comes out that way based on your experiences, and I totally connect with that. I've often wished I sounded different, but I sound the way I sound, for better or for worse. Anyway, I particularly like your song "These Cold and Lonely Nights"- it's so sad, but simple, and your voice in it definitely captures your "hobo soul." Jameson Fitzpatrick |

Holy shit, brother, I finally got to a computer where I can listen to your music. I absolutely love it! My lady does too. Your voice is just perfect for the music. Keep it up, brother. Maybe we'll find our way out colorado some day... either with the punk band or this band. Let us know if you are ever in Wisconsin. |
