Biography
The romantic retro duo of The Fabulous Heftones is a breath of fresh air in these hectic times. The love songs they favor ring true, based on their true-life romance. It is truly a story of one plus one is more than merely two.

Brian is an avid collector of songs, and this couple sings lost favorites, mostly from 1900-1929. Many of these tunes have become very hard to find except for an occasional scratchy recording or tattered piece of sheet music. This couple is delighted to bring the songs into a format where they are pleasant and accessible to modern ears.

Brian's expert ukulele playing contributes many different moods, from bluesy solos to crisp rags and rhythmic backgrounds. Brian also adds the occasional novelty number, complete with vocal scat "eefin" a la Cliff Edwards (Ukulele Ike).

Lynn specializes in sweet love songs, for the most part. She also whistles, and plays the acoustic upright bass called a Heftone (which was invented and built by Brian's father).

The year 2004 was a busy one for this act. They released their first album together, entitled Moon June Spoon, a love story told in a series of fifteen classic turn-of-the-century songs. They also performed on the main stage at the Midwest Ukefest in Indianapolis, and have enjoyed airplay on the Flaming Ukulele Radio Hour.

The Fabulous Heftones' second album, tentatively titled In the Garden, is scheduled for release in the late spring of 2005.
