Biography
Three years ago I had an ordinary, if very busy, life... job, family, home. Suddenly, I was out of work, when I thought, after 26 years playing it, I was at the top of my game. Corporate buy out. It hit me hard when realised that, in the modern world, it doesn't matter how good you are at your job, someone can take your living away from you, without even knowing they've done it. So, here I was, cast adrift, middle aged, with no prospects...

Around about the same time, someone I know died suddenly, while at work, leaving behind a wife and kids...That hit me just as hard. I'd never thought about it before, but I realised that no matter what we do, life will do what it will, and we are helpless in the face of it.

I sat around a while, quite a few months, actually, thinking. I got down, very down. I had lost my way completely, and slipped into the deepest despair...I saw my life as wasted. One day, I woke up feeling different. I went to my PC and started writing a song. I'd never done that before. I wrote a song to talk myself out of my self pity, and with a sudden desire to help other people, people like me, perplexed by just about everything. I had suddenly realised that a wasted life means nothing, if it isn't vindicated by creating a new one. Life had taught me a lesson, I had learned it... So, InZaneCountry!

InZaneCountry, what is it about? Well, it's about a number of things...InZaneCountry is an attempt to show people who feel that their life isn't shaping up the way they want that they can do something to change it. When you reach a point as low as I did, you eventually realise that it's no good depending on 'luck' to turn things around. There's only one way forward, and that's to do something positive to change the way things are for you. I'm doing precisely that, myself, in order to show others that it can be done..
