Hello
Hello Fellow EZFOLKer's!

I enjoy hearing all your wonderful songs here on EZFOLK. I'm not an artist............just a fellow listener, originally from Iowa, who now lives in the South. I have written a few lyrics to songs for my brother here on EZFOLK (Jamey Darnold) other than that I just really enjoy singing along! Music makes everything a bit nicer. Family is the most important thing to me and I have three wonderful children and a husband that are the center of my world. I love songs about life! And realize that any given day of my life could change in a heartbeat, so for today I am grateful...........and for tomorrow I am hopeful.

Rosie

Yep, that picture is in my office. It was painted by my son, Stuart when he was 19 or 20. He is forester today also, Missouri U grad...the one in the photo with his son Zach with the deer. That was the location of our tree farm, and I get by there several times a year; as the Lake Bank Cemetery is right next to it where my folks are buried. You are such a nice gal to comment on my work; and I wonder if I should post this on your site as well to make sure you get it. (Think I will put in your comments section....Verne

That is nice to know Rosie. I became a "Friend of Bill's," on Sept 6, 1985; and a day at a time have avoided that first drink. My song "Planted a Rose Instead" is an expression of that. I can relate to your every thought and word in "This Table," and "Strength in the Bottle."..both just great songs. So happy to have your friendship. By the way, I thought that was the "River Bridge," at Davenport-Bettendorf...great photo, who takes these photos? They are really good at it.

Yeah, scary at first...but later on so nice and quiet. I used to reduce the power on my ercoupe, slide the canopy back and glide to slow flight (at about 7000 feet)..then turn power back on when I had lost altitude to about 4000 ft. I did this over familiar terrain so I could always reach a landing spot should power not come back. It always came back tho. The short quiet glide was a close as I could get to being like the hawks that rode the thermals each fall and winter. Long time ago, Verne Pantherpo

Rosie, I am happy that you liked "In the End You Lose,"...Yep, I have a pretty long list (quantity); but I sure could use some of your and Jamey's "quality." I keep trying to improve, as I describe in "The Rain Crow." I am very lucky to have great support such as yours. Verne

While I am here, obviously beauty "runs in the family." Verne

Thank you Rosie...I am never sure if I am supposed to use this space to respond, and if you will receive it. Seems like I should post on your site...but anyway, you are really observant to see the Zantac from the underside. My daughter in law gave me some scratch pads with that on it and I used them for sketching during in this case, an AA meeting...I think in '94...I have a whole slew of these type sketches done during many, many meetings. "I Was a Drinker Once," is one of my songs on this site, I think album Vol II or III Verne Rosie, I pasted this from an answer I posted that you made on my site...It is confusing to me how to do it....anyhooo you will get the message now. Verne
