| " Loose Change and Friends formed in September of 2003. They perform a wide and eclectic variety of traditional American string band and folk music in the northern Chicago suburbs, including instrumentals and vocal harmonies that are fun to sing and play, featuring: banjo, mandolin, guitar, autoharp, fiddle, bass, ukulele, strumstick, dulcimer, and various other instruments. On frequent occasions, performance of authentic Appalachian clog dance is also featured along with the musical program, which celebrates and preserves the historic songs and tunes of our American heritage. Loose Change & Friends also performs songs from the folk revival era of the 1950's and 1960's.
