My current musical obsession is steel guitar.  I ordered my first pedal steel guitar on Oct 10th 2006.  I had never sat behind one of these "contraptions" before and was intrigued by all those pedals and levers.  When it arrived, I knew right away I was hooked.  Having played a lot of different stringed instruments over the years, this one stood out as something different.  10 strings, 3 pedals, and 5 knee levers... quite a playground of notes, chords, phrases, runs, licks, etc to explore. 

I also really enjoy playing C6 lap steel.  Bouncing back and forth between C6 lap steel and E9 pedal steel is a lot of fun.
