Song Information:

This song started out as "Ukulele Hop" which is an instrumental. Then while listening to it, some words came to mind, so I wrote them down. Then other ukulele players in the ezFolk message board convinced me to record the words no matter how much the sound of my own voice turns my stomach.

This is my first time ever "singing in public". Not much to it, but I did double up the part and add some reverb, etc to make it more bearable.

I am also keeping "Ukulele Hop" on my ezFolk page for those who want to hear this song in its pure form without the noise pollution of my voice.

I have always wanted to be able to sing but never had the guts to try. There is something "unimposing" (is that the right word?) about an ukulele that makes me want to strum and sing songs from song books. I constantly find myself walking around with the ukulele singing some song and I inevitably end up strumming in front of the mirror in my big all-tile bathroom where the natural reverb makes my voice almost sound descent. That is why this songs says that ukulele makes me sing. It does. But then when I record my singing, I think it sounds terrible... But hey, I'm buckin' up and makin' do with what I have. I am certainly never going to learn to sing if I don't try. If you don't like it, go back to "Ukulele Hop" to cleanse the palate.
