Biography
From the village of Burntwood, but now residing in the wonderfull city of Derby, middle England, 24 years old. Playing an Ibanez acoustic that looks delicious, or a £40 classical guitar which still sounds sweetly and a Small Briarwood acoustic. Just writing and recording tunes in my room (the smallest in my house, becasue its cheaper), on a computer, trying not to let the sound of the builders next door intefere with the recording. From listening, you can probably notice that I enjoy writing songs with strong melodies and harmonies. My favorite artist is probably James Taylor, and many people have told me that they can hear this in my music. I used to play drums in a band called Heavy Haircut (who are still playing together under the name The Skeleton Cartel, and are still awsome), but moved on to do solo work. I found idea of creative, unhindered control appealing. I love being able to record anything I want, and I am not one for disgarding tunes. I have rather an extensive backlog due to this factor, but enjoy going back to older recordings and hearing somthing great that maybe I didnt hear the first time, the possibly re-recording it with more success. I have a tendancy, like most, to write about things that are going on in my life at any one time. This can be anything from the need for sleep, near car-crashes, airplane rides, the voices inside, and a particular girl in my life. But no matter what the subject matter, I wish to involve a certain amount of hope, wether lyricly, or musicly. I am not complicated, I do not really take to over complicated things, and I love to write simple, soft songs. A little bit playful, a little bit smooth, a little bit happy a little bit sad. I hope you enjoy.
