Biography

Im Mick Gaitens. Im a solo acoustic singer songer from just outside Glasgow, Scotland. Been playing guitar mainly since i was 8yrs old, but i have dabbled in some keyboard and bass work in my time. Started writing my own material just about a yr n half ago, and so far it seems to be flowing along nicely. Sitting with around 60 songs all written, but only about half recorded. I record my tracks at home......in my `living room`....usually on the sofa...looking quite silly. But, its what i do....and keeps me going.(usually to the wee hours of the morning too) IM looking to put my material out to as many people as possible, just like everyone else is doing. The new medium of home recording, and self exposure via the net, has opened up a new world and opportunities to all musicians....and im out to explore those possibilities.
