Jo Bones

Jo Bones Hey, folks! The tune to Jo Bones I learned from the Reed Island Rounders's cd HAND ME DOWNS. The RIR's Diane Jones plays banjo and sings Jo Bones. Liner notes read that she learned it from Dave Bing who got it from Maggie Hammons Parker-- both WV folks. Seems it's a banjo song but I'm playing it on mountain dulcimer.
Thanks!

My Keith Young teardrop is in bagpipe tuning. I'm using a slappy pick and playing noter-and-drone style on this great old tune.

My husband, Mark, and I playing guitar and mountain dulcimer. We both like this tune, so that makes it a fun one to do together. The couple that plays together stays together : )
Roustabout

My husband, Mark, and I play this duet. His backup work is great!
I really like Dyad's version of Roustabout. They credit Fred Cockerham as their influence. I've got Mr Cockerham on a cd of Camp Creek Boys' music but Roustabout isn't in that collection. Also, I like Crooked Still's "Lulu Gal".
