Psycadelio--- go with it-- you might check out caribou for a juxtaposition-- the ambient background sounds are like sound sculpture-- I studied with Rienhold Marxhausen a sound artist here in the US who has a chunk of the west coast Getty Museum-- I think this is the direction I am headeding as well sound constructions with in the conventions of "song" "oral Histories" in a postmodern pluralistic age-- I think you (all sound scultptors) need to push this over the edge with out disapearing into the world of abstraction ( a modernist paradigm) with cultural relavance (different for every individual) and no cultural appropriation (outright theft). Where I am at we are evolving into a movement of make your own instrument, not some one off but like , real traditional mandos, cuatros, cuavaquinios (ukuleles) fiddles, banjos, percusives, combined with ambient sound -- and of course the decentralized production and distributoin the web and portable studios provide Chicken on my songs is along this direction- This is just starting to gel for me so -- who knows whats next, I am starting to use video/digital image as well--. The twinkely sound on home fire on my site is a Marxhausen sculpture-- Cheers |

Ok - I have to tell you - I do like your ambient tracks - quite dark tho! spooky! I have not heard angy for years - a pleasure to hear it again - but for me, your track 'The Eternity' is fab, you should put it further up the list in my opinion! Cheers! Jim and Woody. |
