More Info
Song Information:
An old train song, probably from arond 1900. Hear the train whistle.
Trains featured a lot in early blues as they were the means by which poor people could escape povery in the south and start over again in the cities in the north. 'Riding the rods' was a dangerous way of hitching a ride north by clinging to the rods under the carriages.
Open D tuning is also called Vestapol tuning.
