J Allen has been playing guitar and writing Christian music for about 15 years. He is married to a wonderful lady and they have two sons. He recently moved back home to Otter Creek near Patterson, GA. Several of the songs here were played by J Allen with 'The Way,' a Christian band that he started in 1998 in Swainsboro, GA. They played off and on until late 2000. Most of these songs were recorded on a Tascam 4-Track (Analog) with just a guitar. J Allen's brother, Ed, plays guitar on a couple of the tracks. All of the songs were written by J Allen Harris.  He is currently working with a small church (Laura Chapel) with a youth praise band (Otter Creek) and  they play most every Wednesday evenings and many Sunday nights at the church. Allen is excited about this new ministry and knows that the Lord has good things in store for this ministry.

I like all kinds of music, but really enjoy acoustic music with good Christian lyrics....when I have time I like to let the ideas flow myself. Leave me a message or comment and I'll always try to return it as soon as possible. This is not my career.....I just enjoy it and love playing music. It sure is nice to get back into the swing of things and playing at Laura Chapel Baptist church and would be great to play rallies again or just coffee houses and small venues.  This is not about me, it is about lifting up the name of the Lord Jesus and trying to glorify Him.
