Biography
Seamus has been writing songs for years. The first he sang to me was the Barnbird Song. I was there when he composed and performed Fanta at a rain-swept Ballyshannon Folk Festival back in the '70s. He began cultivating The Ocrastra in London in the '90s.
As his repertoire grew he played and worked with musicians from all over the world whose styles ranged from Classical to Dance; but he was always firmly rooted in the smokey folk clubs of North London and the sessions in his house, where the music flew 'though the recording set-up was definitely lo-fi.

Justice is Seamus' first Album.

The Ocrastra are currently gigging with Seamus on guitar, vox, harmonica and whistle, His son, James on fiddle and mandolin and Gerry McGandy on mandolin, vox and guitar. Other members play when possible

The Ocrastra have composed and will perform the music for the film "Bosnian Woman - Irish Man" by Vesna Marich. The music and dance from the film will be performed at the Bosnian Embassy later this year.

We hope you enjoy the songs and look forward to meeting you at a gig.
