This summer has been hectic!! Working LOTS of hours... or TOO many hours after 10-12 hours a day on the computer it's really wearing on me so I havent spent much time on EZfolk lately. The best part is the summer weather has been very nice. Spending more time outdoors with my better half :)!!!

I have managed to work on some new and old songs and created a new improv album.

This one is still pretty rough. Its an old guitar tune with a 1st time mandolin improv. I have vocals but still need to work them out. Anyway it has a very unique style of its own. Hope you will find it interesting...

This is another new 1st time improv. It's a nice kick back tune. I hope to come back to it and refine it and upload a better version one of these days..

Below is a link to a series of some 1st take improvs I have been working on recently. The approach is obviously not to create produced sound but to capture the unspoiled 1st time inspiration in during the creation of these songs.

I really like Bob Dylan's and Paul McCartney's theory in this approach where you really capture the inspiration and unique character of a song in the overall sound. They are not perfection by any means but often I feel you lose the overall spirit and feeling when a song is over rehearsed or over produced.
