Hi all, great site Im new to music and recently got a Ukelele. Its not an expensive one but it will do to gain some practice and experience on. Ive found the guides on here very helpful but I am looking for a particular song that I would like to learn. Its by Lee Evans the comedian, he sings it at the end of his recent XL Tour 2005. Its called " three second memory " and I really like it so if anyone has the chords for it I would really appreciate it if you could post them on here. Many thanks. fuzzwuzz

I like this song too, the way I play it is: Intro: D - Dmaj7 (played xx0222) - D Verse: D - F#m - G - A (the A in the second half of this bar is played x02221) Chorus: D - D7 - G - F#m - G - F#m - A The nice little ending he does at the end the song is the x02221 version of A, regular A and finish on D Hope this helps Last edited on Wed Aug 9th, 2006 02:26 pm by james_a_greenwood@hotmail.co.uk |

Ok the progression has in it A Maj normally following the relative minor F#. When lee goes to this A Maj chord its best to play A major, while adding the 6th note (F#) accordingly. This A6 Chord isn’t critical, but it makes the progression sound a lot more modal. If you wish just play a normal A Maj. If anyone needs help understanding this mail me robhavok@hotmail.com Also i thought that the 2nd chord may be Dmaj7 but going off the root note, i decided it was F#min. This is pretty good to play along with though that extra 6th gives a great flavor. If nothing else maybe it will inspire others to transcribe it better. Chord Chart -5----2----3---5----X -7----2----3---5--- [7] -7----2----4---6----6 -7----4----5---7----X -5----4----5---7----7 -x----2----3---5----5 D F#min G A and A6 Intro D/D/D/D [x2] D F#min Got a three second memory, G A Maj I live for now nobody’s reserve to be, A6 Yeah that's me, D F#min I got a three second memory, G A Maj Whatever you tell me....it's gone in three, A6 Yeah Cest la vie. D Well I never get the feeling, G F#min There's anything that I'm missing, G F#min AMaj I'm way too busy living my life, A6 Yeah it's such a strife, D I don't try to think about, G F#min The ins or the outs, G F#min AMaj I'm way too busy trying to figure out the here and now, A6 Yeah what's that all about? D F#min If I gotta choose, I get all confused, G AMaj Haven't got a clue, ahhh of anything that's new, A6 Or who the hell is who, D F#min If I gotta choose, I get all bemused, G AMaj The moment I lose, the time to just muse, A6 just be amused. D I never get the feeling, G F#min There's anything that I'm missing, G F#min A Maj I'm way to busy living my life, A6 life is such a strife, D I don't try to think about, G F#min The ins or the outs, G F#min A Maj I'm way too busy trying to figure out the here and now, A6 Yeah what's that all about. D F#min I got no plans, For my life span, G AMaj whenever I can, ahhh I flim and I flam, A6 Yeah I sing and I yang, D F#min I got no plans cause I don’t understand, G AMaj Whenever I can, Oooh I sing a song that I sang, A6 The one I just began.
