Hi. I just wanted to place a quick plug for the Lanikai Ukulele/Chromatic Tuner. This thing is easy to use and my Uke now sounds better than ever. You basically just set the tuner on the table in front of you and then pluck a string and then either tighten or loosen the string until the gauge lines up in the middle. A little light moves from red to green to tell you that the string is tuned. Super easy especially when you are new and are learning how each string should sound. In about 30 seconds the Uke is in tune!

Army

Hi Army,

Glad to hear you've got an electronic tuner. Just about everybody needs one (those with perfect pitch are exempt).

I've heard good things about the Lanikai ukes although I've never played one. By your description of "Lanikai ukulele/chromatic tuner" do you mean you've got a Lanikai uke and a chromatic tuner or that this is a tuner specifically for ukes?

Whoops. I have an Oscar Schmidt Uke and a Lanikai brand tuner. Maybe someday I will upgrade to a Lanikai uke!:D

I just saw that Lanikai tuner on the UkuleleWorld website. That's cool... I think that's the first electronic tuner ever specifically made for uke players.

Really does make a difference when the old uke's in tune huh?
