I'm running a vote on my blog to find out people's favourite ukulele video of 2007. Nominations were made last week and these are the runners and riders.

Bosko and Honey - Fingerpickin' Love In
Gallier - Bushman ukulelen videocontest
GUGUG - Blitzkrieg Bop
Heftone - The Entertainer
John King - Bach Prelude
John Rockwell - re: Your Brains
Seeso - Waiting In Vain
Sweetafton23 - Tom Cruise Crazy
Ukulelezaza - La Vie En Rose
Waitswatcher - Hoist That Rag
Jeremy Warmsley - Ukulele Session

Vote for your favourite here. You only get one vote - use it wisely. Voting closes midnight Friday 18th January (Hawaii time). The winners gets fame, glory and absolutely no prizes of any monetary value whatsoever.

Would there be any way to know what kind and brand of Ukes they each played?  Thanks.

The best way to find out is to send them a message and ask them. John King's is a Mike DaSilva custom. Heftone and Ukulelezaza are playing Martins.

Of all of them, Tom Waits uke sounded the most clear and clean, do you happen to know what he (Waitswatcher) was playing in "Hoist that Rag"?  Both size and brand? Thanks.

I think it's an Oskar Schmidt concert.

Oh my...the Oscar Schmidt isn't the best-spoken-of Uke here, and yet to my ears its audio sounded better than all the rest.  I'm not speaking of the talent of the player, just the sound of the uke.
