Nice job Tom... That has always been one of my favorite songs. And, by the way, how do you like your Lehua longneck soprano? I have been eyeing that model for a while. Does it have decent sustain? I couldn't really tell from the recording. (I think you were purposely damping out the tail-end of the chords?)

Don

Thanks Don. I love the Lehua. I usually play with a wedgie (rubber) pick in more of a guitar style (sometimes muting), but when finger strummed it has the more traditional soprano sound, and very good sustain IMO. My only other solid wood uke is a Koa Pili Koko, and the Lehua compares well to it, but has a bit lower tone. Both are relatively cheap for solid wood ukes, of course.

The neck length, width and thickness is very cool IMO, especially in combo with a small soprano body. I intend to get one of the Kiwaya KSL longnecks (HPL) eventually as well, though their necks aren't as beefy (thick) as the Lehua.

They're discontinued Don, so good luck finding one. A few out there still, I know. Got mine locally last year for $180. I did hear that some had a few "issues", so best if you can do a hands-on first, or at least get a good money back guarantee... e.g. don't buy one from John at Bushman ;o)
