One of the saddest things I can think of is an instrument that doesn't get played. Now that I have my Jenny, my beat up down and out old Silvertone will probably not get played. If you, or someone you know, would like the old Silvertone baritone, let me know. I'm not at all interested in someone wanting it for a collection, or a maybe. I'd like to find someone who would play it. Possibly someone who can't afford one. It's more beat up than the picture shows. It's got cracks glued back together, and even a screw holding the neck on...but it playes extreamly sweet, better than most of the ukes I've played in the music store. It's a freebee, I just don't want a great sounding instrument to go to waste.

That's happy news.

I see Frets, the kitten who will never grow up, has a new uke? guitar? as well.

Dean:

Glad to hear that she's found a new home. Wish I had stumbled across your post sooner:? I'm looking for a vintage bari and would have loved to have given that sweet gal some happy strummin'!

Pete

Yep! Fret's is playing a National Radiotone now! He certianly hasen't grown up in my Avitar...but you should see him in real life...he is about 9 months old now and looking more and more grown up. I figure he is about the size and personality of a teenager right now. We love him, and he is quite a character!

Hey Pete! I'm hoping the the old Silvertone survives the Journey ok, and you just might get to play it at a future CUKES meeting...but you're going to have to ask Christopher and Sarah:) It's a wonderful thing to see children getting into music, so I was very happy to send it their way!

A package from Kansas was on my doorstep after school today!  Can't wait to show the kids :-).  Thanks, Dean (And it was in tune!)
