After fielding a number of complaints about the ratings system I spent a good deal of time today working with the ratings system and trying to figure it out. I disabled the ratings from all of the different quotas but there was no way to get rid of the ratings from the charts so all of the existing ratings would remain. Disabling the ratings is no big deal because I can enable them again at anytime, which I have already done except for the artists who have asked to be removed. In all of my experimenting I found an option that *I thought* would enable me to selectively remove bad ratings. Uh... that's not what it did. With one push of the button I deleted all of the ratings in the system.  Anyhoo, there's not a way to easily remove the ratings system so we're gonna have to live with it. If you don't want to be in the ratings system e-mail me and let me know and I will move you to the quota that does not allow ratings. There are some artists in there already and I'll be glad to put anybody there who requests it. I apologize to everyone who had a lot of good ratings as artists or for their songs but there's no bringing the old ratings back. The only bright side of it is that we're now all at zero. The ratings system is still here so feel free to start voting and please remember we're all in this to just share our music. We're all on the same team. Consider building people up and encouraging them with good ratings instead of trying to make yourself feel better by giving someone else bad ratings. I don't think that works too well.

You are not the first.  I have had my share of "OOOPS", in fact, I did it today. I put a 9 volt battery into a pocket full of change. The coins shorted out the battery, and as it cooked in my pocket, it got hotter than hell.Nearly burned me before I figured out that the "heat" was not a muscle burn.

Hi Richard, Yup, if it had been me at the helm I'm sure I could have found a way to positively and irrevocably destroy everything (  - i.e., bye-bye website). So if we were voting people off the ezFolk island, I'd be about the first to go, and you the last. I know it's been said a lot before, but many thanks again for all your hard work.

A-ha! Another Survivor watcher! I had a feeling I wasn't the only one. I'm actually still trying to see if I can salvage the 2,370 ratings that I managed to delete. Still not sure it'll happen though. I've got to keep reminding myself that when something important needs to be done I need to hire somebody who knows what they're doing to do it.

Well, it's official... the 2,730 ratings that I erased are gone forever. Tech support was unable to retrieve them. Again I apologize, and if you like the ratings system please be sure to go back in and rate some music and artists. Try to keep it heavy on the 5's and light on the 1's since we're all friends.
