I've just finished and put up a new song. It's a song about the generations in my family - what has been passed down to us, and what we will pass along. It's really a song for my mother, and for all the other Roses in my life.

Hope you enjoy it.

Amy, a beautiful song.  Very touching, it brought a tear to my eye.  The beauty of the song is reflected equally in the lyrics and delivery.  Bravo.

Thank you my friends. You're always such an encouragement. This one took a long time to write - it's been ruminating in my head for months, and the tune I've had for over a year. It all just finally came together last week.

Funny how that happens. I'm not a quick songwriter. Everything must ripen or ferment for sometimes quite a long while before it appears as a whole. :)

I'm feel so fortunate to have a supportive community to share my music with.

Amy

Amy, another great song and performance. As always your voice is haunting.  Joan Baez or Judy Collins couldn't do it better.  What beautiful and poetic lyrics.  I watched the Grammies last night expecting to see you in the contemporary folk category. Unfortunately, they didn't show any contemporary folk songs.  Their loss.  I am still waiting for that CD. Are you on my space or U tube? If not, you should be.

Preston - can I make you my PR guy?? Thanks so much for your kind words. I'll be sure to let you know as soon as the CD comes to fruition. We're working on it now, but it's still in the preliminaries. Within a few weeks, though, I will have an on-line EP available through SoundAid. All the proceeds from songs bought through them go to the Heifer project. Just trying to get one or two more songs re-recorded so you can't hear the heater turning on in the background. :) I need Devah's soundproof room!

Thanks Nizer.

As I've said many a time - you all are great!
Amy

thanks Holley! I'm working to build up a larger catelog of original tunes, but I'm a sucker for the old folk songs as well. :) But it's nice to know that folks think my originals are going in the right direction.

Amy, you just get better and better.

This song made me want to cry....that doesn't happen very often these days.

Hi Amy,

I'll listen to your song tonight or tomorrow at the latest! Looking forward to it! :) I love the idea of your song. Ever read a book by Barbara Wood? She writes about women generations a lot!

BTW, I'm not a quick songwriter myself and I'm glad to see I'm not alone!

Cheers,

Annika
