I have an 8 string baritone. I'm looking for a gcea set for either 6 or 8 string baritones. It especially will have to have a high and low c strings on it. Does anyone sell gcea 6 or 8 string baritone strings?

As far as I know, gCEA strings are made only for 4-string baritones, not 6 or 8 string.  The closest you can get is to buy two sets of gCEA strings for baritone, plus a regular DGBE baritone string set (you need to use the second lowest string for your low G).  Since there is no way to get a high-C string, you will end up with 2 low C strings:

gG-CC-EE-AA

I got my Aquila gcea strings today, but I was bit surprised to find that they were High-G, which I wasn't sure I wanted.  So I saved the dgbe g string, moved it up to the top position, and used the  other three aquila strings.  So far so good!  For the few seconds that the tuning  on the new strings holds, it sounds great.

That's the way to do it.  Those special C-tuned strings for baritones are almost always in high-G, and I use the G from the baritone set to replace the re-entrant string.

This is a great idea i definately want to do it.. I have a set of strings to get the low G string off, but I can't find anywhere online in the UK to get the gcea strings from. Preferably aquila but any brand, does anyone know where I can get them? the only place i found had shut down or had dgbe ones.

any help is really appreciated!!
