I don't know what kind of strings are on my Baritone uke but the 3rd and 4th are metal wound strings.  When I even gently slide my hand from say, the first fret to the third, or from the 5th back to the 1st, the screech coming from those wound strings is unbelievably loud.

Does anyone ever put all Nylon or Nylgut strings on their Baritone for DGBE tuning?

I don't believe that Nylgut baritone strings are available without at least one unwound string.  The only baritone strings like that are Worth fluorocarbon, which are denser and thinner than Nygut.

The worth strings are fine. My wife, Holly uke, has a set on het baritone and we we have been real happy with them. She never liked the wound strings, and finds these to be gentler on her fingers.

That makes me happy to know I don't 'have' to have metal strings on it.  I've heard good things here about the Worth strings.  Thanks for the suggestion, I'll order some, and might as well try the Nylgut ones too, won't hurt. :)

Are any of the Worth BB Brown Baritone strings wound metal.  I'd like a set that has no wound metal strings if there is such a thing.

musicguymic wrote on another thread that the Worth's are all un-wound.  That's good to know.
