I have a Porno sorry Pono semi-acoustic cutaway bari uke ( model PBMSC-E), tuned similsr to a  guitar, which I love playing  but I find the higher chords a little hard to play.  Perhaps it is the harder strings for non- acoustic playing.
Does anyone know of soft strings which can be be played acoustically but are still suitable for an amplified situation?

It might help to know what strings you are using now?

Hi, Teek,
Thanks for your interest and question. The answer is that I am not 100% certain but the strings are original and I suspect they are ko'olau gold strings as supplied by Rob Verizon. I have seen aquilla nylgut strings advertised for the bari uke. Any ideas?
thanks!

Scotslisa, Hi, How's the action? If there's a problem with the neck angle, it could translate to hard playing at the upper region of the fretboard. My Hilo baritone has about .085 -.090'' at the body fret ( between 5 and 7 64ths). I don't know what the specs are. I think someone (Will maybe? Sounds like something he'd know)  posted it at one time but I haven't learned how to search on this site.

Regards, Longneck
