Anybody interested in the Ken Perlman clawhammer banjo workshop in Charlotte NC on 01/23/06? I'm signed up to go and will look forward to meeting any of you ezFolkies that might make it. It's a 3-hour workshop from 7-10 p.m.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll get you some more info on what you need to do to sign up.

Some people are so lucky! I wish I could find some of these workshops within driving distance of Tucson. Ross Nickerson is going to have a workshop near Phoenix, but I don't do bluegrass.
I hope to get to the FL camp (The one mentioned in another thread)  this year or next year, but haven't been able to find the $$ available for the camp + travel. :(

Richard,

I would like more information on this workshop. It sounds like a fun and educational experience.

Kurt

Hey Kurt,

That would be great if you could come down for it!

The only info I have is what I received from Carol Sawyer when I emailed her and asked about it. I didn't include her email address here because I thought she might not want me to, but I'll email to it or anybody else interested if you feel like you need it. All you really need to do is send the check in. Here's the info...

Thank you for your interest in the fiddle/banjo workshops.

To register send a check for $35 made out to Alan Jabbour to:
Carol Sawyer
1609 The Plaza
Charlotte, NC 28205

Your check will guarantee a seat at the workshop.

Look forward to seeing you at the workshop on January 23rd from 7-10 pm.

Directions and Parking Information:

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=home&formtype=address&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&cat=&address=1609+The+Plaza%0D%0A&city=&state=nc&zipcode=28205

There is no street parking on The Plaza. Parking is available on Thomas Ave., on other side streets, or in the lot at the corner of Central Ave. and The Plaza. We have VERY limited driveway parking and will reserve those spaces for folks who find it difficult to walk from a slightly more remote location. Please let me know if you would like us to save you a driveway spot.

Kurt, let me know if you sign up, and I hope any other ezFolkers will let us know as well so we we'll know each other when we get there.
