I have made a PC application for tuning erhu. I want it can help the beginners to tune the erhu easily.

Could you have a try and give some advice?

http://www.softist.com/software/guanyin/guanyin.htm

What does guanyin mean?
Guanyin=Avalokiteśvara
Guanyin is the female bodhisattva who observes the sounds and voices of the world and saves the peoples from the sufferings.

from the sufferings of tuning erhu.:wave1:

Could you give me a HAND?

In ErhuGuanyin application, there is an English help. Because I can't speak English well, I need you to amend some words or sentences in the help for me.

I look forward to hearing from your reply. The help file has been uploaded to the website as following:

It looks cool, kaze. I will try to check the tuner this weekend.

I could not open the .chm file. Do I need a minimum version of IE?

Best wishes,

David

Thank David.
Chm files are PC help files. Windows applications usually use this type of file to save its help contents.
Are you using MAC?

Downloaded it,tried it .......AWESOME!!! Been trying lots of different methods but this tuner is great! The separate tone buttons make it super easy to get the strings tuned and having the metronome too is a huge bonus. Too bad I can't but this on my phone so I can use it when I am away from home. Thanks I highly recommend this to anyone.

You can generate a tone at any pitch with Audacity, then save it as a wav or mp3 file. Transfer it to your phone, or any audio/media player, and you'll have a reference tone to tune to.

wow,  I think this is pretty clever,    it does work well.   I had a small trouble where the page wouldnt open with that link,  I trunc'd it to http://www.softist.com/    and then it opened and I could click the sound generator.  (also needed to download a small prg. to be able to open a rar file. that too was quick and easy)

I like the prg, and thanks for all the work you put into it !!
