Thank you Richard for your good wishes, but thank you most of all for providing this forum, and this whole site which is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for people like me. Thanks to you and all the free learning material -- tabs, and turorials and videos--, I started and kept on practising the ukulele a year and a half ago, discovered the neverending delights of playing music and even began to make a few instruments: all that joy of discovery I owe to your generosity and the wonderful spirit of helpfulness, goodwill and unpretentiousness of the participants in this forum.

This is my first post, having been until now but a shameless lurker, benefiting without contributing. Well, I was a total beginner and in awe of so much expertise and talent and I still am, but though I cannot reciprocate in kind for the teaching I have received from you all, the least I can do is express my hearfelt gratitude and wish you all a wonderful day.

Muke... Thanks for those kind words... that brightens up my Christmas even more! I don't get a lot of feedback on the tutorials these days so it's nice to know they're being used and it encourages me to work on some new ones, which I'm planning on doing in the upcoming year.

:thumbs1:

Merry Christmas to Richard and everyone here at ezFolk!

Thanks for the ezFolk banners and for doing all that you do to make this a great community! :D

I've been able to post them at other sites where we have music.

We're slowly making our ezFolk site a "home base" of sorts.

Happy Holidays!

Tor

Hi Richard (and everybody else!)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :)

I would just like to follow on from some of the comments above and take the opportunity to say that EzFolk is an absolute jewel amongst music sites and OMD's - the folk info and tutorials, the PD listings, all the great music and facilities for uploading and playing tunes - and the rest! :)

cheers

Dan :)

I'll second (or third) that! I keep telling my musician friends about ezFolk because it's the best thing going!

Thank you for all you do, Richard!

Peace to you all in 2008!

Amy

I repeat my earlier good wishes for you, Richard, and for all the other folkers.  As Amy says, I too promote as much as I can, both the site and the individual members.

I am pleased to say that I have managed to drag in 5 or 6 of my friends to sign up.

John Carrillo,

Matt Hensen,

Matt McDonald.

Teeka

Sarah and Gordon

Tim Hendrix

to name a few.  I have a whole raft of others I am constantly browbeating to sign up.

Perhaps the new year will get them here.

As for the reccomendations for your station that you posted, like AmyDK there are so many that it is hard to choose, but I did post one for your consideration.

As Red Skeleton used to say, "God Bless".

May the new year be better than the last for all, and may you all have many, many more to enjoy.

Dusty

Hi Richard, Hope you had a great Christmas, and thanks again for all your work.

My 2 year old grandson, Andrew, was here this past weekend from Nashville. My daughter asked Andrew if he wanted to go home with her and be her baby. Andrew said, "No, I'm Papa's baby."  That made my Christmas.

Hope you have a Happy New Year, Bob.
