I've mentioned that every day at lunch time the guitars come out for a jam. We finally got a picture today. It's been a long hard last several years, and we've been very busy...today our bosses gave us an afternoon of free time...and we jammed our butts off! Left to right: Tom (Old Cowhand), Jamie (lightnin Boy), Collin (CMac-ezFolk member), Dean (1four5), Chance (where's the TAB?), Tim (Tim3finger-ezFolk member) and in the back on bass is Aaron (No Resolve)

Here's Jamie, Collin and Dean getting down...with Aaron in the shadows:)

Thanks for putting up a picture of our ugly mugs!  What a blast - jamming for about 4 hours!  A good time was had by all.

Wow! What a great job you guys have! I've been looking for a good job like that ever since the local pie factory closed down!

If you go through that big door, and take a left...you will find yourself in a shop full of broken jet engines, grease and oil and parts everywhere. Jamming every day is the best morale booster imaginable. It releises stress, and makes going to work something to look forward to every day. In fact, if you ask Tim3finger...who is close to retirement...he will tell you that he plans to stay in longer than he originally planned...simply to keep jamming!

It all started a year and a half ago, when one guy got a new guitar, but didn't know how to tune it, so he brought it in to work to see if anyone knew. That's when we found out that Tom used to play in a country band, and Jamie had gotten a guitar, but wasn't getting too far with it. Tim3finger and Collin had always dreamed of playing but just never did. I had tried in the early 80's but quit out of frustration. Aaron had played bass in college and still had it. Chance has a guitar, and was pretty excited when he found out we all played...Chance just came to our shop two weeks ago. Some of us even get to work early in the morning to practice our stuff. Tom is like a walking library for songs his band used to do, so he keeps us going with jam songs. We are getting some down really good, yesterday's set included: FreeBird, Turn the Page, You Can't do That (beatles), Route 66, Old Cowhand, Long haired Country boy, Kentucky Moonshine, Abiline, Ghost Rider, and Hotel California (of course!). We also did a ton of blues jamming in E, and A. Tim is our blues singer, doing Whiskey in that Bottle, and One more Bottle of Whiskey. I probably missed some...but it was a blast and the guys that don't play got a concert:cool::)

Yes indeed, it was a great jam session:thumbs1:, and a much needed bit of down time. I know it is hard to imagine turning wrenches, moving motors, and handling holding fixtures that weigh up to 80 lbs apiece all day long, but that is what we do. We have been in a heavy work cycle for about a year now, where as soon as we get a motor out the door, two more come in.  Don't misunderstand, please, we love what we do and are honored to do it. But sometimes you need a break and our bosses were smart enough to realize it, so we got the down time. And we jammed our butts off! :sing:If you didn't know a song,  just sit in and in a liitle bit you would. I might add, that Dean doesn't give himself enough credit, he and Tom served up some Killer leadwork on almost every song. Sometimes, we had dueling leads. Way Cool! Thanks guys for a great time. Wish we could have recorded " Hotel California" for EZfolk. We definitely had the Eagles out guitared!:guitar1::guitar1::guitar1:

Tim

Thank you Tim!!! I'm just thankfull you'all like to sing...if I tried...I'd probably end up with a combat boot in my mouth. When you guys was doing Long haired Country boy, I was having a hard time playing I was having so much fun listening. Man...Tom really got crazy with the freebird lead during the rock part...that was a riot, almost started cuttin heads...I backed off lest the devil would appear, Tom was creamin me :drink1::)
