What with the weather beginning to change, and the dry and the dusty more apt to start appearing, I recorded this Texas fiddle tune this morning. Added the banjo and guitar backup, and discovered while doing so that I need work on my timing on the fiddle.
But, enjoy the tune anyway, if you dare. |

I've added 2 tunes to my music page, "Frosty Morning" from Henry Reed, done on my fretless mountain banjo, and a little fiddle tune from Wilson Douglas, "Morning Flower." |

Magpie Jay Bird A little clawhammer banjo ditty for your enjoyment has been posted to my music page. This one is lots of fun and can be a real trance tune in a jam.
Note: A little edit here, I had a senior moment for a few hours starting with when I recorded the tune. Its actual name is "Magpie." |

I've been making progress on my journey to learn the fiddle. This is an attempt to mark my progress on it and on integrating my clawhammer banjo and OT Guitar back-up. I recorded the guitar first, then a fiddle track, then banjo. I then re-did the fiddle track and decided to quit at that point. Not some of my best work, but not too bad, either, for a beginning fiddler ((I've only been at the instrument off and on since 2003).
