Gospel blues made popular by Reverend Gary Davis. Somebody in the “Clawhammer Ukulele” group on Facebook asked if it was possible to play it in this style and I messed around with it some and thought it sounded pretty good. Not a lot like the Rev Gary Davis version though.
One of my favorite gospel country songs, written by Ricky Skaggs. My uke arrangement is in the key of F. It’s a fairly easy strum-along with 6 chords. I generally don’t do any set strumming patterns, especially with a slow song like this. Just any strumming in 4/4 time will work.
