Long Black Veil was written by Marijohn Wilkin and Danny Dill in 1959 and recorded that same year by country singer Lefty Frizzell. After it was written Dill called it an “instant folksong.” Lefty’s record reached #6 on the country charts, but over the years it has become even more popular, being recorded by hundreds of artists including Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews Band, Joan Baez, and The Band even performed it at Woodstock in 1969. It was written from the man’s perspective, but in 1960 in an unreleased version, co-writer Marijohn Wilkin recorded a different version from the female perspective.

After All This Time – #Ukulele Chords & Lyrics
This is Rodney Crowell’s #1 country hit from 1989. In 1990, it won a Grammy for Best Country Song. It should be easy for most uke players to strum along with, in the key of C and 4/4 time.
How Great Thou Art – #Ukulele Strum-Along
This is an easy strum-along ukulele tune for the popular hymn “How Great Thou Art.” I played it in the key of G with easy chords (G, C, D7, and Am) using a simple strum.
Wagon Wheel – #Ukulele Chords & Lyrics
I try to never look at other tutorial videos on YouTube before I do my own video, so as not to be influenced by how anybody else plays or teaches a song. I followed that same rule of thumb with this song, and after I completed my video I looked at other ones. Wow. This might be the most overdone song on YouTube. I watched at least parts of a half dozen or so other videos before I had a pounding headache. Anyway, if I would have known in advance how many other Wagon Wheel for ukulele videos there were I would have probably skipped the song altogether. Having said that, I’m throwing my 2 cents in so here’s my take on it.
If I Were You – #Ukulele Chords & Lyrics
Collin Raye recorded this song written by John Hobbs and Chris Farren. It peaked at #4 on the country charts back in the mid 1990s. I like Collin Raye’s music a lot and this is one of my favorites. Strum along in 4/4 time.
Are You Lonesome Tonight – #Ukulele Chords & Lyrics
Are You Lonesome Tonight was written in 1926 and has been recorded by many artists over the years, but it’s most closely associated with Elvis Presley, who made it a #1 hit back in 1960. Some recordings (including Elvis’) feature a spoken bridge that was also included in the original 1927 sheet music. For this chords & lyrics tutorial I just recorded the chorus twice, the first time strumming and the second time fingerstyle. It’s in 3/4 time so strum 3 beats in each measure. The fingerpicking pattern is #13 in my fingerstyle tutorial.
